Hello, I just got the Gray V7Pro and I think it is amazing! New to target practice. Have not fired rifles since my Army days in the mid to late 80’s. Daniel Defense gives Veterans a nice discount. Am a fan now for sure. The DD fit and finish is very high quality.

Do you do any hunting? Longer barrels in the 18" range and longer are supposed to be ideal, and likely for similar distance target practice. Have you tried out any other barrel lengths?

I've recently started using a 16 inch barrel and it's been a more comfy fit than I expected. But overall I'm more used to 18-20 inch barrels.
16 is supposed to be a nice medium of what shorter and longer barrels offer. What type of shooting do you usually do? See yourself going back to longer barrels for things you'll be doing (i.e. hunting)?

Morning! I am not a hunter. I think 18 inches is fine and I believe the M16A2 I used back in the day was 29 inches. I really got the Pro because it is a soft shooting rifle with limited recoil.
