Hey David welcome to the forum! What convinced you to go with DD for your first semi-auto rifle? What mods are you making to your M4?

A couple years ago I probably would have bought a cheaper manufacturer and parts as part of my budget. Fortunately, I was able to expand my budget and started looking at higher-quality rifles. Unfortunately, my state is banning certain rifles (HB1240)and components so I decided to buy what I believe will be my one and only AR/M4 while it’s still legal. I don’t want to just start buying mods so I want to learn about why people choose certain parts (brakes, BCG, charging handles, etc) and what it does for the shooter? My rifle experience is limited to bolt-action rifles and shotguns. Hopefully I’ll be able to buy parts going forward or maybe move back to GA! 🤣
